On 2nd Dec, 2006 a group of young adolescent girls, women and a few men set out on a rally in Madanpur Khadar. They were raising awareness on the issue of violence against women and were inviting the community to join them in their protest against society’s apathy. The rally ended in a maidan where the group set fire to a collage mounted on a wooden frame that symbolised various kinds of violence. It was a colourful, dynamic and noisy rally!
