JAGORI works with communities in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh to initiate women´s collectives at the village level and support them in building a movement for women´s rights and gender equality.
A demonstration organic farm and women´s resource centre has been set up in Sidhbari village. A field programme has also been started in a cluster of villages surrounding the centre. Along with capacity-building for women´s collectives, we have also initiated a fellowship programme for young women, public advocacy campaigns on women´s rights, perspective-building for students and teachers in government schools and training programmes on sustainable agriculture for local farmers.
